THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF OHIO
      DARKE

AT 555 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDER-
STORM MOVING INTO NORTHWEST DARKE COUNTY. THE STORM IS MOVING EAST
AT 50 MPH. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND REPORTS OF FUNNEL CLOUDS
HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORMS.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE FOR
DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE
ySHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.  ONCE
INSIDE...STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

THE LEADING EDGE OF A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM
NORTHWEST OHIO SOUTHWEST ACROSS INDIANA AT 435 PM EDT.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A 20 TO 30 MILE WIDE LINE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM OHIO ACROSS INDIANA. THE LINE WAS FROM WEST OF TOLEDO
ACROSS NORTHWEST VAN WERT COUNTY AND CONTINUED SOUTHWEST TO NEAR TERRA
HAUTE INDIANA.

THE LINE WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH AND WILL SPREAD INTO MERCER COUNTY IN
WEST CENTRAL OHIO BY 5 PM AND INTO THE REST OF WESTERN OHIO BY 630 PM.

THESE STORM MAY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...ISOLATED WIND GUST TO 55 MPH AND
POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL.
