THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      WESTERN ELLIS

AT 610 PM RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF TREGO COUNTY OR ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HAYS
KANSAS.   THIS STORM HAS CHANGE COURSE AND IS MOVING NORTH/
EAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN ELLIS COUNTY
BY 630 PM CDT THIS EVENING.

SEVERAL SIGHTING OF FUNNELS AND TORNADOS HAVE BEEN REPORTED
WITH THIS STORM.

THIS TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND AND CAUSING DAMAGE. ALL PERSONS NEAR
THIS DANGEROUS STORM SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY IN A REINFORCED
SHELTER.

FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. BASEMENTS OFFER BEST PROTECTION. SMALL
ROOMS NEAR THE CENTER OF HOMES AND BUILDING ARE ALSO FAIRLY SAFE.
MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES OFFER NO SHELTER..SO LEAVE THEN. EVEN A
DITCH OR LOW PLACE IS SAFER THEN A MOBILE HOME OR CAR.
