THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      GOVE...TREGO

AT 548 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 12 MILES
NORTH OF NESS CITY KANSAS MOVING NORTH AT 35 MPH AND
WILL BE MOVING INTO TREGO COUNTY BY 600 PM CDT  ABOUT 70
MILES NORTH OF GARDEN CITY.
ALSO A TORNADO WAS REPORTED 11 MILES SOUTH AND 5 EAST OF
GOVE KANSAS MOVING NORTH OR ABOUT 70 MILES NORTH OF GARDEN
CITY.

THIS TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND AND CAUSING DAMAGE. ALL PERSONS NEAR
THIS DANGEROUS STORM SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY IN A REINFORCED
SHELTER.

FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. BASEMENTS OFFER BEST PROTECTION. SMALL
ROOMS NEAR THE CENTER OF HOMES AND BUILDING ARE ALSO FAIRLY SAFE.
MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES OFFER NO SHELTER..SO LEAVE THEN. EVEN A
DITCH OR LOW PLACE IS SAFER THEN A MOBILE HOME OR CAR.
