FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA

AT 3 PM WEATHER RADAR INDCATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ENTERING SCREVEN
COUNTY FROM JENKINS COUNTY. THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH AND
WILL PASS JUST NORTH OF SYLVANIA.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.

AT 125 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING
RAPIDLY OVR NORTHWEST GEORGIA. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CEDARTOWN IN POLK COUNTY...10 MILES SOUTHWEST
AND 10 MILES NORTH OF VILLA RICA IN CARROLL COUNTY...AND 15 MILES WEST OF
NEWNAN IN COWETA COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 15 MPH.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS NORTHWEST
GEORGIA DURING THE AFTERNOON.
