THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MACON HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN CENTRAL GEORGIA
          ...TWIGGS
 
AT 1000 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHERN TWIGGS
COUNTY 7 MILES NORTHWEST OF JEFFERSONVILLE HAD REGENERATED AND WAS
NEARLY STATIONARY. IT WAS MAINTAINING ITS STRENGTH BY COMBINING
WITH SMALLER STORMS NEAR ITS FLANK.  THIS IS STILL A DANGEROUS STORM
AND SHERRIFFS OFFICE IN TWIGGS COUNTY REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN AND
STANDING WATER ON THE ROADS ALONG WITH FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING.
 
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.
