WEATHER RADAR INDICATES WIDESPREAD MODERATE RAINS OVER MUCH OF
SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE ESPECIALLY EAST OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE MIXED IN WITH THE RAINS POSSIBLY
PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
 
STREAMS ARE AT OR ABOVE BANKFULL IN THESE COUNTIES AND MANY ROADS
ARE COVERED WITH WATER.  STREET AND LOW SPOT FLOODING IS ALSO
OCCURING IN CHATTANOOGA.
 
THUNDERSTORMS ALONG WITH MODERATE RAINS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
NORTHEASTWARD INTO THESE SOUTHEAST TENNESSEEE COUNTIES FROM
UPPER NORTHWEST GEORGIA.  RAINS SHOULD CONTINUE MUCH OF THE NIGHT.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
