FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
          ...EDWARDS...KINNEY
 
OVERNIGHT RAINFALL OF BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES OVER ALL OF KINNEY AND
EDWARDS COUNTIES WAS AUGMENTED THIS MORNING BY ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCH
TOTALS. ISOLATED AREAS THIS MORNING RECEIVED AS MUCH AS 3 TO 4 MORE
INCHES OF RAIN. CREEKS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS ARE ALREADY BEGINNING
TO FLOOD ACCORDING TO REPORTS FROM THE KINNEY AND EDWARDS COUNTY
SHERIFFS OFFICES. ADDITIONAL RAIN HAS FALLEN THROUGH THE LATE MORNING
PERIOD AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE...ON AND OFF...THROUGH MOST OF THE
AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING.
 
TRAVEL ACROSS THE TWO COUNTIES IS HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY AROUND LOW
AREAS AND POORLY DRAINED AREAS.
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED.
 
REMEMBER...DEATHS DURING FLASH FLOODING ARE FREQUENTLY RELATED TO
MOTORISTS DRIVING INTO FLOODED LOW WATER CROSSINGS OR FROM CHILDREN
