THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
          ...EASTERN GRANT...SOUTHERN HASKELL
 
AT 1140 PM CDT THE VIOLENT THUNDERSTORM OVER CENTRAL GRANT COUNTY
CONTINUED TO SHOW STRONG EVIDENCE OF A TORNADO ON RADAR. THIS STORM
WAS MOVING INTO EASTERN GRANT COUNTY AND WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN
HASKELL COUNTY BY 1155PM CDT. THE STORM WAS 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
GARDEN CITY AND WAS MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT AROUND 50 MILES AN HOUR.
AT PRESENT RATE OF MOVEMENT IT WILL BE IN SUBLETTE AND SATANTA AREA BY
1210 AM CDT.
 
 
GET TO A BASEMENT IF ONE IS AVAILABLE.  IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR
APARTMENT... SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PORTION OF THE
BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. AVOID WINDOWS AND PROTECT YOUR BODY
