THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN NORTHEAST OHIO
          ...CUYAHOGA...MEDINA
 
AT 635 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM
LORAIN TO JUST WEST OF MANSFIELD. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST
AT 45 TO 50 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO CLEVELAND AROUND 700 OR 715 PM AND
INTO MEDINA AROUND 720 PM. THE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED DAMAGING WINDS
WHICH HAVE CAUSED POWER OUTAGES IN NORWALK AND NUMEROUS DOWNED TREES
IN ERIE COUNTY.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS... FREQUENT
LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS WHICH MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF DRAINAGE
SYSTEMS. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO
PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
