THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A
SMALL STREAM AND URBAN FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTHEAST OHIO
          ...LAKE
 
AT 1200 PM...RADAR SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN OVER LAKE
COUNTY. THE LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTED THAT WATER WAS
COVERING SOME HIGHWAYS IN PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP. ALSO...A WEATHER
SERVICE COOPERATIVE OBSERVOR IN PERRY RECORDED OVER ONE AND ONE-HALF
INCHES OF RAIN SINCE 10 AM. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS FALLEN GENERALLY
FROM PAINESVILLE EASTWARD. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST
AROUND 30 MPH.
 
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOWC SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
