213 AM CDT THU JUN 28 1990

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF NORTH DAKOTA
      CENTRAL AND EASTERN MORTON

AT 210 AM CDT A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING INTO
CENTRAL MORTON COUNTY. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM IN THE LINE WAS
LOCATED 5 MILES WEST OF NEW SALEM. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS
MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH AND WILL PASS THROUGH THE TOWNS OF ALMONT...
AND NEW SALEM...THEN INTO EASTERN MORTON COUNTY AND THE CITY OF
MANDAN BY 250 AM CDT.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAIN MAY FLOOD7 ROADWAYS QUICKLY
