THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF SOUTH DAKOTA
      SOUTHERN BROWN...NORTHERN SPINK

SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE ABERDEEN...MELLETTE
...BATH...GROTON.

AT 455 PM CDT   A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED 7 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
ABERDEEN. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 10 MPH.

 NUMEROUS REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECIEVED OF WIND AS HIGH AS 75 MPH WITH
THIS STORM...3/4 HAIL WAS REPORTED IN NORTH ABERDEEN.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...YOU SHOULD GO TO A BASEMENT
SHELTER IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE
LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED FOR
A REINFORCED BUILDING.

AT 315 PM CDT RADAR INDICTED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN HAD
FORMED IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA 80 MILES NORTHEAST OF ABERDEEN NEAR
CLAIRE CITY IN ROBERTS COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25
MPH. IT CAN PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL...AND STRONG WIND.

THE VERY HOT...HUMID AND UNSTABLE AIR IS VERY FAVORABLE FOR THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA THIS AFTERNOON SO YOU SHOULD STAY
