THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF OHIO
      HARDIN...LOGAN

AT 235 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
MOVING OUT OF AUGLAIZE COUNTY OHIO INTO NORTHERN LOGAN AND
SOUTHERN HARDIN COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL OHIO.  THIS STORM HAD
CAUSED DAMAGE TO HOUSES AND DOWNED SEVERAL TREES IN AUGLAIZE
COUNTY AROUND 225 PM EDT.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADWAYS QUICKLY...
AVOID DRIVING INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CINCINNATI OH
223 PM EDT TUE JUN 27 1989

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN SOUTHWEST OHIO AND NORTHERN
KENTUCKY.

A LARGE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR AT 215 PM IN THE WESTERN
PART OF BUTLER COUNTY OF SOUTHWEST OHIO.  THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE
EAST 20 MPH.  THE STORM WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN GUSTY WINDS AND
SOME SMALL HAIL.

THERE WERE ALSO TWO LARGE THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY IN GRANT
COUNTY. ONE STORM WAS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY AND THE OTHER
IS THE SOUTHERN PART NEAR CORINTH.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST
20 MPH SPREADING INTO SOUTHERN KENTON COUNTY AND PENDLETON COUNTY BY 3
PM.  THuESE STORMS SHOULD PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER SMALL AREAS WITH
GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL.
