000 TTAA00 KIND 121934 TORIND INC057-122015- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN 235 PM EST MON SEP 12 1988 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF CENTRAL INDIANA...SOUTHEAST HAMILTON AT 225 PM A TORNADO WAS REPORTED BY THE PUBLIC NEAR 40TH AND GUION ROAD IN CENTRAL MARION COUNTY. THE STORM HAS DONE DAMAGE BUT WAS NOW ALOFT. THE TORNADO COULD DROP DOWN AGAIN AND PERSONS IN FISHERS AND SOUTHEAST HAMILTON COUNTY SHOULD MOVE TO THE LOWEST LEVEL OF A STURDY SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. . IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT...SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. GET TO A BASEMENT IF ONE IS AVAILABLE. AVOID WINDOWS AND PROTECT YOUR BODY FROM FLYING DEBRIS WITH CUSHIONS, BLANKETS OR PILLOWS. EDWARDS

THIS CLOUD WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A HEAVY RAINSHOWER AND HAS PRODUCED WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 45 MILES AN HOUR NEAR ROCKVILLE ROAD ON THE WESTSIDE OF INDIANAPOLIS. AT 215 PM EST THERE WAS A REPORT OF ROOF DAMAGE NEAR ROCKVILLE AND GIRLS SCHOOL ROAD. PERSONS IN WESTERN MARION COUNTY AND NEAR THE AREA OF SPEEDWAY SHOULD BE ALERT FOR GUSTY WINDS BETWEEN 215PM AND 230 PM EST. EDWARDS
