THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE
UNTIL 300 PM CDT FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...
         ...LAMAR...AND FORREST

AT 1135 AM CDT THE HATTIESBURG CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTED THAT NEARLY
FOUR INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN HATTIESBURG SINCE 730 AM CDT THIS
MORNING.  RADAR SHOWS A LARGE AND SLOW MOVING AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL
MISSISSIPPI THIS AREA WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAINFALL ACROSS FORREST AND LAMAR COUNTIES FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT FEW
HOURS.
NUMEROUS STREETS HAVE ALREADY BEEN FLOODED IN THE HATTIESBURG AREA AND
FLOOD WATERS ARE BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO RESIDENCES IN LOW LYING AREAS
OF HATTIESBURG.

PERSONS IN FORREST AND LAMAR COUNTIES SHOULD LEAVE LOW LYING AND FLOOD
PRONE AREAS NOW.

DO NOT DRIVE OR WALK INTO WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
