000 TTAA00 KGRI 282251 SVRGRI NEC077-125-290000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND ISLAND NE 551 PM CDT SUN JUN 28 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL NEBRASKA...EXTREME SOUTHEAST GREELEY AND NANCE AT 540 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS JUST NORTHEAST OF WOLBACH MOVING TO THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS PRODUCING HAIL ONE INCH IN DIAMTER AND WAS REPORTED BY THE PUBLIC AND INDICATED BY RADAR. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING... SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MAY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL GREATER THAN 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS OF 80 TO 100 MPH. SO GET INTO A SAFE BUILDING AWAY FROM WINDOWS OR GLASS DOORS.
