THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA
          ...WALKER
IN SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE
          ...HAMILTON

AT 1012PM EDT THE CHATTANOOGA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST AND NORTH OF CHATTANOGA TENNESSE.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS ALSO INDICATED IN SOUTHWEST WALKER COUNTY
IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA OR JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
