THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN

WESTERN NEW YORK...NIAGARA ORLEANS AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF LAKE
ONTARIO.
AT 430 PM EDT BUFFALO WEATHER RADAR OBSERVED AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDER
STORMS FROM THE NIAGARA PENINSULA AND OVER WESTERN LAKE ONTARIO BACK
TO HAMILTON.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.
THE AREA MOSTLY AFFECTED WILL BE MOST LIKELY IN THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
THE COUNTIES
BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING..
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE
DRAINAGE FLOODING.
