THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

CENTRAL MINNESOTA...EASTERN RENVILLE...SOUTHERN MCLEOD AND WESTERN 
 SIBLEY

AT 514 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDER
STORM 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF HECTOR IN RENVILLE COUNTY OF CENTRAL
MINNESOTA...WHICH IS ABOUT 60 MILES WEST OF THE TWIN CITIES.
THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR.
OTHER THUNDERSTORMS IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA HAVE HAD A HISTORY
OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL.

REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE
HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN
AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE
WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF
SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
