SOUTHERN ANOKA...SCOTT...RAMSEY AND WESTERN DAKOTA AT 345 PM A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS INDICATED BY RADAR FROM NEAR ANOKA...ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF THE TWIN CITIES ...THROUGH HENNEPIN AND CARVER TO SCOTT COUNTIES OF THE GREATER TWIN CITIES METRO AREA. GOLF BALL SIZED HAIL WAS REPORTED AT EXCELSIOR AND DEEPHAVEN. MOVEMENT OF THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS TO THE EAST AT 45 MILES AN HOUR. MOST OF THE TWIN CITIES METRO AREA SHOULD BE AFFECTED BY THESE STORMS BY ABOUT 430 PM. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE HDAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED. MILLER
