SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PENSACOLA FL 335 PM CDT SAT JUN 21 1986 INTENSELY-HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED IN THE PAST HOUR ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COASTAL SECTIONS OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE BETWEEN PENSACOLA AND NAVARRE AND ALSO MOST OF BAY AND GULF COUNTIES, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN PANAMA CITY AND PORT ST JOE. THESE HEAVY STORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES AND VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS. SOME HAIL MAY FALL FROM THESE STORMS. PERSONS IN THE RECREATIONAL AREAS OF PENSACOLA AND PANAMA CITY ARE ADVISED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE EVER-PRESENT THREAT OF A LIGHTNING STRIKE. ELSEWHERE, WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI, SOUTHWEST ALABAMA, AND THE NORTH CENTRAL FLORIDA PANHANDLE. LITTLE MOVEMENT HAS BEEN DETECTED.
