THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 620 AM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF
 
EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI... SOUTH FRANKLIN... NORTH JEFFERSON
                                                                         
NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS HAVE PASSED THROUGH THIS AREA SINCE 10 PM CDT  
WEDNESDAY EVENING. ADDITIONAL LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY THROUGH 
THE REMAINDER OF THE NIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF LOCALLY FIVE INCHES  
OR MORE IS LIKELY IN THE WARNED AREA. FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND  
CREEKSIS LIKELY. THIS INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES OF SULLIVAN AND ARNOLD 
AND THE LOWER MEREMAC RIVER AND ITS TRIBUTARIES. THIS IS A VERY          
DANGEROUS SITUATION. DO NOT DRIVE IN FLOWING WATER AS RAPID RISES ARE 
LIKELY. 
 
FLASH FLOODING IS IMMINENT IN THIS AREA.  IF YOU LIVE
