EF0 tornado, Gholson, Texas, June 11, 2025

This EF0 tornado ran 0.1 miles across McLennan County on June 11, 2025, touching down at 7:56 PM CDT and reaching 40 yards wide. It killed nobody, and did $7,000 of property damage.

The rating scale

    Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

What the Weather Service recorded

An upper level low and remnant MCVs produced several rounds of heavy rain and training storms that produced flash flooding for a few day across the region, mainly across Central Texas.

A brief tornado was caught on video west of Gholson. Local officials found damage to a property near Mary Ware Dr and Hamilton Dr. Travel trailers and outhouse buildings were moved on the property. Part of the metal roof of a manufactured home was peeled off, and other metal roofs on small sheds were removed. Trees were damaged on the property. This tornado was rated EF-0 with maximum winds of 80 mph.
