This F2 tornado ran 12.0 miles across Collin and Dallas counties on May 9, 1993, touching down at 1:30 PM CDT and reaching 100 yards wide. It killed 1 person and injured 63, and did $500,000 to $5 million of property damage.

Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

A tornado touched down in Sachse in extreme northeast Dallas County damaging 40 homes with other damage to trees, powerlines, and fences. After being on the ground a short distance in Dallas County, the tornado moved northeast into Collin county.
