From Coleridge to Hartington, this F2 tornado ran 8.0 miles across Cedar County on May 28, 1998, touching down at 6:40 PM CDT and reaching 250 yards wide. It killed nobody and injured 1.

    Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.
