   Light damage. Surface peeled off some roofs, gutters and siding damaged, branches broken, shallow-rooted trees pushed over.

   Moderate damage. Roofs badly stripped, mobile homes overturned or badly damaged, exterior doors lost, windows broken.

   Considerable damage. Roofs torn off well-built houses, frame homes shifted on their foundations, mobile homes destroyed, large trees snapped or uprooted, cars lifted off the ground.

   Severe damage. Whole stories of well-built houses destroyed, large buildings badly damaged, trains overturned, trees debarked, heavy cars lifted and thrown.

5. EF4166 to 200 mph

   Devastating damage. Well-built houses leveled, structures with weak foundations moved some distance, cars thrown and large missiles generated.

6. EF5over 200 mph

   Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

7. Unrated

   The survey recorded a tornado but could not put a number on it, most often because it crossed open country and damaged nothing a rating can be read from.

A rapidly developing supercell thunderstorm produced a tornado north of Ravanna, MO, on the afternoon of 10 June. The storm caused extensive damage to a garage and barn near the intersection of Route M and Route W east of Mercer. The tornado crossed Bobcat Street to the northeast. Owing to inaccessibility to property to the northeast, relied on spotter reports to confirm that the track continued northeastward to Route M east of Route W southwest of Cleopatra, where extensive tree damage was observed. No damage indicators were found closer to the town of Cleopatra.

• Three metal pole barns on property were damaged, with roof sections peeled back and missing. Most metal debris was displaced 400 to 500 yards to the east and northeast, with a few sections found as far as County road 455.
• Trunk Snapped, numerous large branches broken.
• Homeowner states leak in roof and minor damage to chimney. Minor shingle damage and damage to soffit. Window broken from flying debris.
