This EF0 tornado ran 1.6 miles across Rapides Parish on February 14, 2026, touching down at 8:47 PM CST and reaching 40 yards wide. It killed nobody.

Devastating damage. Well-built houses leveled, structures with weak foundations moved some distance, cars thrown and large missiles generated.

Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

What the Weather Service recorded

A strong shortwave moved across Louisiana creating a line of thunderstorms that produced severe weather across the area. A total of 13 tornadoes occurred along this line of storms.

The tornado damaged and uprooted pine trees. Large branches of 1-3 inches in diameter were snapped. Max estimated winds were 80 mph.
