This EF1 tornado ran 0.1 miles across Dade County on April 3, 2015, touching down at 10:10 PM EDT and reaching 30 yards wide. It killed nobody, and did $5,000 of property damage.

    Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

What the Weather Service recorded

A fast moving short wave and its associated cold front produced an isolated severe thunderstorm with a brief tornado in northwest Georgia.

A NWS storm survey team found a short tornado path with EF1 damage from wind speeds estimated at 90 mph. Multiple large tree limbs were downed with one large tree uprooted. The path started just west of I-59, crossed the interstate and ended just east of the interstate along State Route 11 near Cloverdale Road. A residential neighborhood was without power and a few houses had shingle and siding damage. [04/03/15: Tornado #1, County #1-1, EF1, Dade, 2015:004].
