- 28.23 ftFlood of June 2006. Widespread flood damage occurred from Fishs Eddy to Hancock including the hamlets of Peas Eddy and Cadosia. Residents on the river side of East Main Street in Hancock also experienced flooding.
- 25.00 ftAbove 25 feet, flooding impacts structures along Park Street and Spruce Street in Hancock. Water also threatens properties along Mill and Wheeler Streets. Significant backwater flooding occurs along Cadosia Road and County Route 268 are flooded in Cadosia. The WWTP in Hancock is cutoff and floods. Serious structural flooding occurs in Peas Eddy. Bodoit Road, O and W Circle, and parts of Old Route 17 are cutoff near Fishs Eddy.
- 22.00 ftBetween 22 and 25 feet, Fireman's Field ballfields and pavilion area are inundated. Basement to first floor flooding occurs in Peas Eddy. Portions of Peas Eddy Road flood. Lower LaBarre Street floods at Bard Parker Road. Water encroaches on the nearby manufacturing building. The WWTP is surrounded by water.
- 18.00 ftBetween 18 and 22 feet, water inundates low lying areas next to the river and along Peas Eddy Road and LaBarre Street. Water reaches the edge of properties between the river and East Front Street. Water approaches Bodoit Road in Fishs Eddy.
- 14.00 ftAt this stage, municipal officials and local emergency management begin close monitoring of the river and initial preparation activities for possible river flooding.
