Woodall Creek at Defoors Ferry Road at Atlanta

1. 24.00 ftRecord flooding occurs with widespread inundation of areas upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. The athletic track and fields upstream will be flooded with up to 9 feet of water. Portions of the road will be flooded with up to 4 feet of water. Some erosion may occur to the road bed. Some of the condos in Westover Plantation and several of the businesses on Defoors Hills Road will be flooded with up to two feet of water. This flooding will be worse than September 2009.
2. 22.00 ftMajor flooding begins with widespread inundation of areas upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. The athletic track and fields upstream will be flooded with up to 7 feet of water. Portions of the road will be flooded with up to two feet of water. Some erosion may occur to the road bed. Some of the condos in Westover Plantation and the businessee on Defoors Hill Road will be flooded.
3. 20.00 ftSignificant flooding continues upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. The athletic track and fields upstream will be flooded with up to 5 feet of water. Portions of the road will be flooded with up to one foot of water. Some erosion may occur to the road bed. Flood waters will begin to enter some of the condos in Westover Plantation and the businesses on Defoors Hill Road.
4. 19.00 ftModerate flooding begins. Significant flooding occurs upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. Most of the athletic track and fields upstream will be flooded with up to 4 feet of water. The water level will be hitting the road bed around 10 feet above the culvert and begin to flood low portions of the road. Some erosion may occur. The water level will be reaching the foundations of some condos in Westover Plantation.
5. 17.00 ftMinor flooding continues to expand upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. Large portions of the athletic track and fields upstream and on the right bank will be flooded with up to two feet of water. Maximum flow will be passing through the concrete box culvert under the road. The water level will be hitting the road bed around 8 feet above the culvert. Some erosion may occur. The water level will be approaching the foundations of some condos in Westover Plantation.
6. 15.00 ftFlood stage is reached. Minor flooding begins upstream and downstream from the gage on Defoors Ferry Road. This includes low portions of the athletic track and fields upstream and on the right bank. Maximum flow will be passing through the concrete box culvert under the road. The water level will be hitting the road bed around 6 feet above the culvert. Some erosion may occur.
7. 9.00 ftBankfull conditions are reached along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage at Defoors Ferry Road. The water level reaches the top of the concrete box culvert under the road.
