3. 8.50 ftMajor flooding from the Alpine Meadows area through Truckee. Significant damage is likely to many roads, bridges, structures and homes along the river.
4. 7.50 ftMajor flood stage. Major flooding with damage to roads, bridges and structures along the Truckee River between Alpine Meadows and Truckee including low lying homes. Highway 89 likely overtopped near the Pole Creek Road.
5. 7.00 ftModerate flooding along Truckee River between Alpine Meadows and Truckee. Significant damage to some private bridges and low-lying structures along the river is possible. Flows similar to the flood of December 31 2005.
6. 6.50 ftModerate flood stage. Flooding from Alpine Meadows to Truckee, including yards, crawlspaces, basements, private bridges and campgrounds. Flows similar to January 2017 event.
7. 5.50 ftFlood stage. Minor flooding from Alpine Meadows to Truckee. Minor flooding of landscapes, basements and crawlspaces in low lying properties. Riverside campgrounds may be impacted by flooding from small tributaries and overland flow, but little impact is expected from the river.
8. 5.00 ftMinor flooding from Bear Creek in the Alpine Meadows area to Truckee. Truckee River bike path between the River Ranch at Alpine Meadows Road to Tahoe City flooded up to a foot deep. Minor flooding of basements and yards of some low-lying homes along the river. Deep Creek Campground has limited access due to flooding. Minor flooding begins at Silver Creek Campground. About 2850 cfs. USGS estimates this much flow has about a 1 in 5 chance of being exceeded any year.
