Tropical storm force winds were felt along the coast of Hillsborough county during the afternoon of the 6th. The highest gust recorded was 49 knots at the ARPSWXNET mesonet site CW6730 on Davis Island in Hillsborough Bay. Additionally, the same site measured sustained winds of 41 knots. Storm total precipitation across the county ranged from 2 inches to over 5 inches, with the CoCoRaHS site FL-HB-37 located 2 miles east of Lutz measuring the highest total of 5.21 inches. Peak storm tide at the Old Port Tampa tide gauge measured 4.82 feet MLLW on the afternoon of the 6th. At the McKay Bay Entrance tide gauge, the storm tide was 5.05 feet. Subtracting the predicted astronomical tide, the calculated highest storm surges for Old Port Tampa and Mckay Bay Entrance, respectively, were 2.80 and 2.97 feet MLLW late in the afternoon of the 6th.

A National Weather Service Storm Survey Team concluded an EF0 tornado with winds to 70 mph caused damage just to the west of Varnamtown. A tornado touched down just to the south of Varnamtown Road SW near the intersection with Stone Chimney Road SW. The damage was just to the east of the church located there. The tornado crossed Varnamtown Road SW from south to north and caused most of the damage on the north side of the road. Numerous trees were snapped. Large limbs were also down. Some of these limbs fell onto a large storage building causing damage. The tornado quickly lifted behind the homes on the north side of the road.

Rainfall amounts as high as 4 to 6 inches fell over much of the county. Several roads were closed due to high water. Water was reported over the intersection of Webb Road and Alden Road, as well as Pumphouse Road in Disputanta. Water also covered the road at Route 460 and County Drive in Disputanta. Water was reported over the road at Spain Drive and Courtland Road near Templeton. The Prince George County Sheriff's Office reported water over several roads throughout the county, including six to eight inches over Courthouse Road within the Prince George city limits.

The flooding caused about 50 families in Chester to evacuate along the Chester Creek. Flooding occurred along a couple gaged streams in Delaware County. The Crum Creek at Newtown Square was above its 6 foot flood stage from 440 p.m. EDT through 933 p.m. EDT on the 7th, and it crested at 6.68 feet at 545 p.m. EDT. Heavy rain also led to flooding along the Chester Creek at Chester, and fifty families in the area were evacuated. The Chester Creek at Chester was above its 8 foot flood stage from 423 p.m. EDT through 1110 p.m. EDT on the 7th, and it crested at 9.80 feet at 615 p.m. EDT. Event precipitation totals included 4.13 inches in Lansdowne, 4.01 inches in Drexel Hill, 3.71 inches in Aston Township, 3.22 inches in Chester Township, and 3.16 inches in Wayne.

The Valley Creek at Valley Forge was above its 7 foot flood stage from 439 p.m. EDT through 654 p.m. EDT on the 7th, and it crested at 7.38 feet at 515 p.m. EDT. The East Branch of the Brandywine Creek at Downingtown was above its 7 foot flood stage from 757 p.m. EDT through 1020 p.m. EDT on the 7th, and it crested at 7.13 feet at 900 p.m. EDT. Event precipitation totals included 4.24 inches in Unionville, 4.18 inches in Landenberg and Chatham, 3.99 inches in West Chester and Franklin, 3.98 inches in New London, and 3.92 inches in Spring City.

Several sources including the broadcast media, local storm spotters and city officials reported severe flooding from a nearly stationary thunderstorm across the northeast portion of Miami-Dade County extending northward into the Hollywood area of southeast Broward County. The first report was from the media of impassable roads in the Waterways section of Aventura, north of Aventura Mall at 4:53 PM EDT with reports several minutes later from the media relayed from the Aventura Police Department that over 50 vehicles were disabled in that same area. A trained spotter in Hollywood then reported that as of 5:17 PM EDT, they had received 9 inches of rain and that vehicles were disabled near the intersection of Sheridan St. and A1A, with flooding occurring in retention ponds and nearby roads. Portions of Hallandale Beach, especially near the Intracoastal Waterway were severely flooded.

In Wantagh, there was at least two ft. of standing water at the intersection of McLean Ave. and Cambell Ave. with two cars stranded and also at the intersection of Wantagh Ave. and Jerusalem Ave. with several cars stranded. In addition, the Northern State Pkwy. was closed at exit 35, route 106/107, in Jericho due to flooding. Total rainfall amounts reported in Nassau County ranged from 2.83 inches in Oyster Bay to 6.13 inches in Old Bethpage.

Four feet of standing water accumulated at the intersection of Scutter Ave. and Hawkins Blvd. in Copiague. In East Farmingdale, portions of Route 110, Wellwood Ave. and New Highway were closed due to flooding. The ASOS at Republic Airport in Farmingdale reported 1.03 inches of rainfall in one hour. Total rainfall amounts in Suffolk County ranged from 2.73 inches in West Islip to 5.65 inches in Centereach.

Of note, Saulsbury Road in Dover was closed due to flooding. In addition, the Saint Jones River at Dover was above its 6 foot flood stage from 511 a.m. EDT through 1022 p.m. EDT on the 8th, and it crested at 6.62 feet at 1215 p.m. EDT. Event precipitation totals included 5.19 inches in Smyrna, 4.83 inches in Dover, and 3.70 inches in Felton.

Three to five inches of rain fell across the Providence metro area. In Providence, the exit ramp for Atwells Avenue from Interstate 95 southbound was flooded with one and a half feet of water. In North Providence, Cottage Avenue was flooded and impassable. Also, several basements were flooded along Brook Street. In Cranston, Park and Reservoir Avenues were flooded and impassable.

The Assunpink Creek at Trenton was above its 8.5 foot flood stage from 1102 p.m. EDT on the 7th through 546 a.m. EDT on the 8th. It crested at 8.98 feet at 315 a.m. EDT on the 8th. The Stony Brook at Princeton was above its 9 foot flood stage from 1000 p.m. EDT on the 7th through 448 a.m. EDT on the 8th. It crested at 9.72 feet at 1230 a.m. on the 8th. Event precipitation totals included 4.44 inches in Lawrence Township, 4.33 inches in Ewing Township, 4.15 inches in Pennington, 4.06 inches in Princeton, 4.04 inches in Somerset, and 3.97 inches in Hamilton Township.

Approximately 20 road closures were reported county-wide, some of these occurring in flood-prone areas. Event precipitation totals included 4.06 inches in Easton, 3.20 inches in Royal Oak, and 3.14 inches in Saint Michaels.

Three to five inches of rain fell across the south Boston metro area. Grossman Drive and the underpass for the MBTA train tracks were flooded in Braintree. Also, Forbes Road near the bus terminal was flooded. In Holbrook, several roads flooded including South Franklin Street, Clara and Loud Roads, and Abington Avenue between Weymouth Street and White Road.

The Manasquan River at Squankum was above its 7.5 foot flood stage from 300 a.m. EDT through 251 p.m. EDT on the 8th, and it crested at 7.98 feet at 945 a.m. EDT. Event precipitation totals included 5.11 inches in Oceanport, 5.02 inches in Rumson, 4.90 inches in Long Branch, 4.70 inches in Sea Girt, 4.68 inches in Eatontown, 4.38 inches in Wall Township, 3.69 inches in Fairfield, and 3.37 inches in Manasquan.
