A storm chaser photographed a small tornado southwest of Tyrone, NM. It was on the ground for about 15 minutes, but caused no damage as it was in a remote area.

A screened in porch of a house was ripped off and blown over the house. The house was located in the Boydville Community off Northshore Road. A few cottonwood trees were downed as well. Monetary damages were estimated.

Lightning struck a tree behind a home, then traveled through a propane gas line to the lower portion of a deck on an enclosed porch. The porch caught fire in two places. There was also some electrical damage inside the home.

A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later.
