There were several road closures due to flooding across Cochise county. Ft. Grant Road in Wilcox, Highway 191 in Elfrida, road leading to Coronado National Monument, and Davis Road and Frontier Road between Bisbee and Douglas were closed. Rainfall amounts ranged from 2 to 8.6 inches in a 36 hour period across Cochise county. Some of the higher rainfall amounts occurred over Hereford (8.64 inches) and Coronado National Monument (5.96 inches). Also, there were minor overbank flows along the San Pedro River.

Road closures due to flooding across Tucson area. Primarily Tanque Verde wash and Pantano wash areas. There were potholes caused by heavy rain resulting in several flat tires on E. Valencia Road in Rita Ranch. Also, there were several high water rescues conducted in eastern Tucson.

What this means
A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later. Category is the Saffir-Simpson scale, which runs from Category 1 at 64 kt to Category 5 at 137 kt and reads wind only, so it says nothing about surge or rain. Accumulated cyclone energy adds up the square of the wind through the storm's life, so it counts strength and duration together.
