Turkey River at Spillville affecting Winneshiek County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Turkey River at Garber. * WHEN...Until Monday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 22.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:15 AM CDT Sunday was 22.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 23.0 feet on 03/30/1960. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
