Turkey River at Spillville affecting Winneshiek County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Turkey River at Elkader. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs in areas near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:45 AM CDT Sunday was 15.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 5.7 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.8 feet on 02/27/2023. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
