...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...East facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Long-period east to northeast swell,
emanating from distant Typhoon Dolphin, is expected to develop a
high risk of rip currents along east-facing reefs of the
Marianas beginning Sunday afternoon. As Dolphin passes the far
northern CNMI, the long-period swell direction will likely
shift north early next week, and then northwest. As it does so,
a high risk of rip currents, and hazardous surf, is expected to
develop along north, then west facing reefs next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST
THURSDAY...
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet and dangerous rip
  currents expected.

* WHERE...Along west and north facing reefs.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong monsoon pattern continues to
produce hazardous surf and a high risk of rip currents along west
and north-facing reefs. As influence from Typhoon Dolphin on the
monsoon pattern decreases, influence from Tropical Storm Chan-Hom
and other disturbances will increase. This will keep surf
elevated and above hazardous conditions for west and north facing
reefs through much of the coming week, and surf hazards have been
extended through Thursday afternoon. The High Surf Advisory and
High Rip Current Risk may be extended again next week as the
monsoon pattern, and associated west to northwest swells,
continue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
