...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CHST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and sea level fluctuations along
  beaches harbors and in the coastal waters.

* WHERE... all reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM ChST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from
  shore into deeper water. Stay out of the water and way from the
  beaches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude
  of 7.8 occurred near Mindanao, Philippines at 938 AM ChST. 
  Waves less than 0.3 meters are possible. These will cause sea 
  level fluctuations and dangerous rip currents. Listen to latest 
  information from government officials.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening.

The overall risk for strong rip currents will be decreasing over the
next few hours. Minor sea level fluctuations caused by the 7.8 
magnitude earthquake near Mindanao, Philippines earlier this morning 
are subsiding. Continue to practice caution near or in the water.
