...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM EDT WEDNESDAY
FOR CENTRAL FANNIN, CENTRAL GILMER AND NORTHEASTERN MURRAY
COUNTIES...

At 1109 PM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in Signficant street flooding in portions of Ellijay and
East Ellijay. Between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
         areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ellijay, East Ellijay, Mountaintown, Jones Mill, Cartecay, Roy,
  Conasauga Lake, Pisgah and Cohutta Wilderness.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Rockflat Branch, Boardtown Creek, Turkey Creek, Davis Creek,
  Coosawattee River, Mill Creek, Sumac Creek, Bogden Creek, Conasauga

At 1224 AM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in Signficant street flooding in portions of Ellijay and
East Ellijay. Between 3.5 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding
impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.
