...BRIEF SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING POSSIBLE AROUND HIGH TIDE THIS
MORNING IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON...
Tide levels in the Charleston Habor could briefly reach 7.0 feet
MLLW with high tide this morning. This will likely result in some
brief, shallow coastal flooding in some of the normal locations
throughout Downtown Charleston, including areas adjacent to
Gadsden Creek. Motorists should be alert for saltwater across
parts of Fishburne Street and Hagood Avenue. High tide in the
Charleston Harbor will occur just before noon.
There is a chance the tide go higher. If confidence increases
that higher tide levels will occur, a Coastal Flood Advisory
will be issued.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive through flooded roadways.
