* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip
  currents.

* WHERE...West and north facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Tuesday..

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another pulse of the northwest swell is
  moving through the region. This pulse has elevated the surf to 
  about 10 feet. This is expected to be a short-lived event. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers 
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. 
If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against 
the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline.
If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Pulses of the north swell are continuing 
  through the region. These pulses have maintained surf at about 
  10 feet. Model trends suggest a downward trend in the swells and
  surf, however, buoy data and local observers suggest that trend
  has not yet started. For these reasons, this advisory and 
  statement have been extended by 24 hours. However, the swell may
  fall below the 9 foot threshold as early as the morning 
  package.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 4 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON...
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK WILL EXPIRE AT 4 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON...

The north swell has diminished today. This has allowed the surf 
to drop below the 9 foot threshold for the surf advisory. This 
drop in surf also drops the risk of rip currents to moderate. 
Surf and the risk of rip current may cross the 9 foot threshold 
for a short time around Thursday night. Near the beginning of next 
week, another pulse of north swell looks to arrive, potentially
bringing a significant increase surf heights in a short time frame. 
This may warrant high surf advisory and high risk of rip currents 
statement.
