...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...High wave action, strong currents, and dangerous swimming
  conditions expected. Piers may be swamped by waves.

* WHERE...Mason, Oceana and Muskegon counties.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water
  and high waves exhaust swimmers trying to return to shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds from the south will create currents
  along the shoreline and near south pier structures which can 
  push swimmers into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions
and do not venture out on piers. Please check with your local
authorities on potential beach closures.

  swimming conditions expected. Piers may be heavily swamped by 
  waves.

* WHERE...Mason, Oceana and Muskegon counties.

* WHEN...From 11 AM EDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water 
  and high waves can sweep people off piers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds from the south will create currents
  along the shoreline and near south pier structures which can 
  push swimmers into deeper water.

  swimming conditions expected. Piers may be heavily swamped by 
  waves.

* WHERE...Mason, Oceana and Muskegon counties.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water 
  and high waves can sweep people off piers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds of 15 to 25 mph have built
  waves into the 3 to 5 foot range. Dangerous waves and currents
  will continue through sunset.
