  Southwestern Buchanan County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 1245 PM CDT Saturday.

* At 640 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across Benton and Buchanan Counties moving southeast 
  into Linn County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen 
  across Benton and Southern Buchanan Counties. Additional rainfall 
  amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area, 
  especially in Linn County and the Cedar Rapids metro area. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

AFTERNOON FOR BENTON, LINN AND SOUTHWESTERN BUCHANAN COUNTIES...

At 738 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain 
have fallen. 3 inches of rain in 1.5 hours was reported in Vinton. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.  Standing water up 
to six inches deep was reported in Vinton.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

AFTERNOON FOR NORTHERN BENTON AND CENTRAL LINN COUNTIES...

At 855 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain 
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.  Radar estimates the heaviest rain fell across northern 
Benton County where 3 to 4 inches fell.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

have fallen. While water has receded off of area roadways, water is 
still flowing in low-lying areas across northern Benton County.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.
