The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 645 PM MDT.

* At 619 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a 
  tornado was located 12 miles northeast of Bitter Lake Wildlife 
  Refuge, or 21 miles northeast of Roswell, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught
           without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or
           destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will
           occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mainly rural areas of Central Chaves County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built 
building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, 
or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect 
yourself from flying debris.

This storm has a history of producing tornadoes.

At 633 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 
was located 10 miles southwest of Elkins, or 26 miles northeast of 
Roswell, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
         Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree
         damage is likely.
