* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...Gulf and Franklin County Beaches.

* WHEN...From noon EDT /11 AM CDT/ today through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away 
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Easterly breezes will steadily increase
  over the nearshore waters today, becoming strong tonight. Surf
  heights and rip current risk will also increase through the
  course of today, reaching the high risk category this afternoon
  along the southeast- and south-facing beaches of Franklin and
  Gulf Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
