At 903 AM PST, an area of light freezing rain was located 7 miles
northwest of Bovill, or 25 miles south of St. Maries, moving
northeast at 15 mph. Additional light showers of freezing rain will
develop behind the main band.
Locations impacted include...
Lewiston, Moscow, St. Maries, Kellogg, Pinehurst, Osburn, Lapwai,
Wallace, Plummer, Genesee, Troy, Potlatch, Mullan, Smelterville,
Juliaetta, Deary, Culdesac, Kendrick, Bovill, and Wardner.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 90 in Idaho
between mile markers 24 and 73 from Coeur D Alene to Lookout Pass,
U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between Lewiston and Coeur D Alene, and
between U.S. Highway 12 in Idaho between mile markers 2 and 34.
The freezing rain may quickly coat untreated roadways with a thin
layer of ice that may be undetectable. Please use extreme caution,
especially on bridges, overpasses and around curves. Allow plenty of
stopping distance and avoid braking suddenly.
