The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Winkler County in western Texas...

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 340 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Kermit, moving
  east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. Near the Winkler 
           County airport, trained spotters reported a brief touch-
           down and lifting of a tornado. Another tornado may occur.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

  Kermit around 345 PM CDT.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN WINKLER COUNTY...

At 401 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Kermit, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Winkler County.
