6 AM CHST THURSDAY...
...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet, along with dangerous
  rip currents expected.

* WHERE...High surf along north facing reefs and high risk of rip
  currents along north and east facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to 6 AM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and 
  localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best 
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North facing reefs may experience this 
  sooner as a northern swell may come in quicker than expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

THIS MORNING...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An increase in long-period north swell and trade swell will boost
surf heights this weekend. The risk of rip currents will become 
high again and High Surf Advisories will be needed.

It is best to swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, 
relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in 
a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
