* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms 
  over the northern portion of Narragansett Bay moving onshore, 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain 
  has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 inch in 1 hour. 
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Rapid rises on small creeks and streams, as well as
           flash flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and
           underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-
           lying areas.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS 
EVENING FOR WEST CENTRAL BRISTOL, BRISTOL, NORTHEASTERN KENT AND 
SOUTHEASTERN PROVIDENCE COUNTIES...

At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms that had 
moved onshore from the northern portion of Narragansett Bay have 
since weakened, although scattered showers and thunderstorms were 
still around the warned area. Between 0.5 and 3.5 inches of rain 
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible 
in the warned area. Although excessive rainfall is no longer 
expected, additional rainfall may trigger new areas of flooding in 
the warned area.
