SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Walton, Bay, and Gulf County Beaches.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away 
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A thunderstorm complex offshore has
  increased surf heights this afternoon, which has led to an
  increase in rip currents across the Florida Panhandle beaches.
  Beach goers should take caution when heading into the water this
  afternoon and evening. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
